Woman in Her 50s Left with Life-Threatening Injuries After Fall from Bus in Dudley

A woman in her 50s has sustained life-threatening injuries after falling from a bus in Dudley, West Midlands Police have confirmed, as the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit launches a full inquiry into the circumstances of the incident. Officers were called to Kingswinford Road, in the vicinity of Russells Hall Hospital, shortly after half past six on Tuesday morning, following reports that a woman had been injured.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was conveyed to hospital for further medical attention, where her condition is understood to be critical. It is not yet clear how the woman came to fall from the vehicle, and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, according to police. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit, a specialist division of West Midlands Police, is leading the inquiries.

Members of the public who witnessed the incident or who possess dashcam footage of the area at the relevant time have been urged to come forward and assist the investigation.
