A wave of Ukrainian drone attacks across Russia's Belgorod and Perm regions and the illegally annexed Crimean peninsula has killed at least six people overnight, according to Russian officials, as Kyiv continues its campaign to strike deep inside Russian territory. In the border region of Belgorod, a man and woman were killed when their car was struck by a drone, while a separate attack in the town of Grayvoron claimed another life, local emergency authorities confirmed on Monday morning.
Further east, in the Perm region some 1,300 kilometres from Ukraine, a drone hit an apartment building, killing one person and injuring four others, Governor Dmitry Mahonin said. Unverified reports suggested smoke was seen rising over an industrial area housing at least two defence facilities, including a gunpowder plant and a rocket engine manufacturing facility. In Sevastopol, on the occupied Crimean peninsula, a 15-year-old girl and a man were killed in an overnight attack, with Kremlin-installed authorities reporting that shrapnel-laden drones had damaged windows in eight apartment buildings and a kindergarten.
